Skye is Live & Already Making a Difference
1st August 2025
Solara Health's patient engagement platform Skye just launched in mid 2025 and is now live at a leading private hospital in Australia where it's being used to support cancer patients through treatment.
Skye is a mobile app built to educate, guide and support patients navigating complex healthcare journeys. Whether that's a cancer diagnosis, major surgery, recovery or managing a chronic condition, it’s made to support situations where patients have a lot of questions and not always enough time with their care team to get them answered.
What makes Skye different is how it was built. From day one our team at Solara Health worked alongside patients, caregivers, clinicians and care teams to design something that reflects lived experience as much as clinical expertise. The result is a platform that's evidence-based without being clinical to the point of cold.
Speaking to Pulse+IT about the launch, CEO Josh Farrington put it simply: “What sets Solara Health apart is its deep-rooted commitment to co-design. From day one, the company has worked hand-in-hand with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and care teams to build a platform that reflects lived experience as much as clinical insight. This collaborative approach ensures that the tools within Skye are not only evidence-based but also intuitive, relevant and truly helpful.”
The launch also marks a broader milestone: the rebrand from Healio to Solara Health. This rebrand reflects our growing ambition to put patients at the centre of care. This is just the start.
